There are so many wonderful things to say about Carey + Brian and their incredible friends and family who gathered together to witness as these two people began a new adventure as husband and wife. Every part of their day was filled with very import people, places, and moments together. First, can we talk about the fact that these two are currently living IN MY HOMETOWN! WOW! No one ever knows where Kitsap County is, much less the little tiny town of Poulsbo, Wa! How cool is that! I don’t think these two will ever truly know how special it was for me to photograph their wedding – not only is it an incredible honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day but these two were like a little piece of home right here in Maryland to a homesick PNW girl!
One of my ABSOLUTE favorite facts about the Carey & Brian’s wedding was that they were married in the same church her family has been married in for 5 generations. Incredible! What a special tradition to honor throughout the generations of families to come. Their reception was also held in a very special place, her families Annapolis home. During her Dad’s speech he talked about so many shared memories of Carey, the family, and her friends… many of which we in attendance. These are some of the moments that warm my heart the most at weddings. These moments of reflection and togetherness are what the day should be about and this day did not lack any of that!
As I was looking back through the photos of the day I couldn’t believe how happy Carey looked the entire day. There was not a moment where she didn’t have a big smile on her face or was full of laughter. Even when the HUGE storm came through and music was cut and the party moved inside her parents home. The entire day was perfect, storm, flooding, tornado warnings and all! C + B, you will have quite the story to tell for the rest of your lives together! Thank you so much for having me document this incredible time in your lives!
