Miller_Celebrations_At_The_Bay_Maryland_Wedding_Photographer_0045Now this was the perfect way to wrap up the 2014 wedding season! As my last wedding of the year I couldn’t have been more happy to photograph our dear friends. And what a wonderful day it was with these two and all of their friends and family. Even in the midsts of pouring rain and hurricane strength wind storms we did not let that get us down.

A nautical themed wedding was nothing short of perfect for Amy & Chris. I love that they chose their 1st look location to be nestled on the shore of Chris’s moms waterfront home. Amy and Chris were married in Chris’s family church in Joppatowne Maryland just down the road from his mothers home. After the ceremony we jetted down to Pasadena for their Celebrations At The Bay reception. The wind and rain held off just long enough to get the evening started with some waterfront portraits before the reception. I was a little worried all day that we wouldn’t be able to use Celebrations gorgeous waterfront for photos but in true rainy wedding day fashion we were graced with a little bit of sunshine and a mostly clear sky.

Amy and Chris, I wish you two all the best in the world and John and I are so thankful to have you as friends. Here’s to many happy years together as you begin your new journey as husband and wife.

I feel like this next photo need a little explanation for those of you who may not recognize the crab aprons. These ladies have remained friends for many years and these aprons signify their summers spent during college working at Phillips Crab House in Ocean City, MD. I loved that Amy brought these aprons to her wedding to tie it all back to where their friendships began.
